We'd love to share our fun and tasty Sweet Talkin' Treats with you!

about us sweet talkin treats bakery

We believe sweet cravings are not to be taken lightly! When they strike, head straight for our friendly neighborhood bakery and indulge! We also recommend you get sweets to go and share with friends and family, because we know it’s true – treats are a great way to make friends and influence people.

It’s worked for us anyway! Our customers have quickly become our biggest fans and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support. It’s that support that has made what was once just a sweet piping dream a reality.

As a kid I loved baking with my grandma. We laughed, made a mess, she shared her secrets and I dreamed of having my own bakery some day. Throughout high school I took culinary arts classes and learned some cake decorating techniques in Culinary Arts Club. I landed a pastry internship at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee right out of high school in 2005 and worked for two and a half years learning from some amazing pastry chefs. After that, I went on to create desserts for several restaurants & hotels. I have always had a passion for desserts and cake decorating, and I love to create scrumptious treats that make people smile.

I met Joe in 2005 and we had an instant connection. We both love to be surrounded by people we love and we both love to experiment with new flavors and share them with our friends and family. Joe and I got married in September of 2010. We now have two boys, Raymond (7) and Walter (5) and we enjoy sharing our love of cooking and baking with them. And as they are not quite big enough to do the dishes yet, they love growing up in a “bakery house” as Ray calls it.

Joe has always loved cooking and has a background in the restaurant industry as a server and as a cook. He never really tried baking until my mom, Stephanie, and I started Sweet Talkin’ Treats while using the Watertown Farm Market Kitchen in 2012. He knew I needed some help filling orders and jumped in to assist me, even though he didn’t have any baking experience. I taught him all the tricks I know and thankfully, he was a fast learner! Over the last few years, he’s been able to continue learning and improve his skills and has become a great baker. We make a great team!

We both know that as a small business, it is important that our products are consistently excellent in order to stay ahead of the competition. We believe our products speak for themselves and will continue to keep our customers coming back for more! We are committed to excellence in our products and customer service. We work with your budget, and your inspiration.

In addition to helping take care of Ray and Wally, you might know my Mom (Stephanie Bykowski) as Chief Instigator & Investor – we couldn’t do this without her encouragement and support.
